Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is therapy like?

Therapy is a complex and rewarding process of intentionally exploring the unique elements of your life in an effort to grow and improve in ways that make you feel more fulfilled. Sometimes it is fun and exciting, other times it is difficult, but it is always worth it.

Q: What is therapy with you like?

A: Sessions are 50 minutes long, and each session will be different than the last. Similarly, our approach to your presenting concerns will vary with each session based on your therapeutic needs. My style of therapy is collaborative, warm, direct, light-hearted, compassionate, and thought-provoking. I love to explore the complexities of your situation in a way that feels empowering and effective. My goal is for you to leave every session feeling as though you have gained tangible insight and awareness.

Q: Do you accept my insurance?
A: I do not accept insurance, but I am passionate about making therapy accessible to those who seek it. I offer a self-pay rate of $100/session. I also partner with Open Path Collective to provide affordable sliding scale options, I am a contracted provider with Modern Health EAP, and can provide super-bills for insurance reimbursement as an out of network provider. Inquire about sliding scale availability.

Q: Do you offer virtual sessions?
A: Yes, I am currently seeing clients both in office or online, depending on your preference and comfort level.

Q: Are you able to provide a letter for HRT and other gender affirming procedures?
A: Yes, I am able and honored to provide letters for both adults and teenagers wanting to pursue gender affirming services. Please contact me for more information.

Q: How can I contact you if I have more questions or want to schedule?

A: My contact information can be found under the "Contact" tab, where you may also send me a message. Depending on your preference and comfort level, you can contact me via phone call, text message, or email.
